Giana Galati has a background in many art forms- painting, drawing, musical performance, 3D design, graffiti, photography and performance art but has primarily worked with metal for the past seven years. Beginning as an apprentice under a fellow metalworker led to a continued education at American River and Sacramento City Colleges, and evolved into a jewelry line that is marked by hard, geometric angles and edges with pieces made of substance and sophistication. In the past year, Giana has begun creating larger metalwork art that explores the relationship of geometry and the human form. An innate passion for tactful forming and a deeply rooted understanding of the human psyche has fostered a unique perspective of geometry and the human condition within her artwork.
